An XCI file is a complete duplicate of the box itself, the stuff inside the box, and how and where all the stuff is laid out. An NSP file is just the stuff inside the box. The key takeaway is this: the XCI will always be bigger, because there's empty space in the box that you're copying. An NSP doesn't include the empty space.

Theyre dumb because xci can already be installed so converting is pointless. Dumped can mean anything, literally any rom has to be dumped, that label is meaningless. And for the love of god stop using ancient software. Dumped would be xci files (dumped from a cart) and converted is simply converting the file type to nsp.
