23 keys/contraband bug workaround. As many know, there's a bug which wipes keys, contraband weapons and mission items to 23 everyday. My current workaround is to stow 3 weapons in primary, secondary and back back slot at the end of the day before turning off. For keys, stow as many keys in your backpack as you can before turning off. Yes, it's the blueprint that is causing you to spawn empty handed. The trick to fix this is to UNLOCK the attachments (s) that are included with the blueprint. Say for instance you don't have an attachment unlocked like the FTac Ripper 56 and it is on the blueprint you need to go unlock it. I ran into this and the only reasoning I found was that I was using a blueprint for a gun that I didn’t have the base gun unlocked. I still get this bug even with the gun unlocked. On PS5 using the Victus XMR. The bug has to do with bundle attachments as far as I can tell, and seems to also happen with non bugged guns when you have a backpack without a stow weapon slot. Any attachment from a bundle will bug any gun. This applies to insured, or contraband guns, either awarded or player weapons extracted.Basically, whenever I extract I lose at least one of the three weapons on me. Just now, I lost 2 of the 3 weapons. I solo killed a 4-man squad that rushed me in waves of two. Picked the best guns, and after successfully extracting, via Hostage Rescue, I lost two of them (the third slot and the second slot). You equip the insured weapon (M4 with an optic in this case), and you load into a lobby and it shows your operator with no gun. You back out to re-equip your insured weapon but you can’t click on it. 'an enemy operator's weapon' should have no 'hidden meaning' The reason they didn't put an accurate description in is because they likely realized it was a stupid mission. Extract an operator's weapon that they loaded into dmz with. Weapons that they picked up - which you have zero fucking way to tell - don't count.

So, even if you have weapons to start with, always keep “free weapons” on. To recap, the only way to ensure never starting a DMZ match unarmed is to keep the “free weapons” switch on.
