But, hypothetically you are correct.When you switch to a different brand or batch of pellets you may have to adjust the feed rate setting a little bit one way or the other. Unburned pellets going into the ash pan are a waste of energy. Conversely, having your feed rate set too low can also cause more pellets being consumed. Pellergy PB-1525.
