Honda odyssey hood latch not working.

I have a 2003 Odyssey. Hood latch will not open hood. Tried pulling cable with pliers while someone pushed down on hood, nothing. Took it to me local dealer for some recall issues and had them look at this today. They are telling me the cable and latch assembly are 1 unit that retails for 175.00 and will take 3 Hours of labor at 360 to install.Step 4: Remove the Hood Release Handle.
