Only way to disable VCM is through Ktuner or a VCM Delete device. I personally recommend S-VCM, works really great and is much cheaper than a Ktuner. uh, no.... mechanics can't just turn it off. You're going to need to get some kind of device to do it. Something like S-VCM, which is what I've been using.
