Earlier this year I sent my 20ga Remington Sportsman (3 shot Model 11) to Art's Gun Shop in Missouri to have a full strip and clean and one of their rebuild kits installed. The rebuild kit replaces all springs, the brake, friction ring and the buffer in the receiver if needed.

What originally drew me to the gun was the 26” vent rib IC barrel which I thought was interesting as most of the older shotguns I seem to find are the 30” full choke variety. Its barrel code is DWW which I believe means it’s a 1950s gun. Remington Sportsman 48 issue. I just purchased a clean, working 48, and it's recoil-actuated. I removed the barrel and forearm to clean it, after getting it home.
