It seems odd that no matter how despotic of an empire you're running you can't purge individual pops (regardless of species) of a faction you're trying to squash. I can set a faction to be suppressed at the cost of influence, but thats it. It doesn't seem to do very much. There's literally no mechanical reason to purge pops unless your empire type forces you to.
