It just silently does it. I don't see a way to disable the feature (not that I want to). On 2021 GLE, if you unlock the doors, the mirrors unfold immediately, but if the doors aren't opened, it quietly locks and folds the mirrors. I think this is what you're experiencing as there is no "walk away locking" on MB.

I've watched several videos that say this is a feature for a 2018 and describe going into 'Settings' and 'Vehicle' and choosing options there.

Walk away lock 2024 Crosstrek. I was just curious if the 2024 Crosstrek has walk away lock feature but it's disabled by Subaru. It looks like it has the tech, it turns on the map light when you get close and turn them off if you walk away. Subaru doesn't do this. Neither does Toyota, which is where they get the tech from.
