I wouldn’t be asking them to take me from the airport to the Rental Car Center, we would be taking the taxi from our hotel in the center of San Francisco, not really any different from a ride out to the airport for a flight. I wouldn’t expect any difficulty with that. Yes, Uber is a near equivalent to a cab. Drivers are usually waiting in the cell phone lot and monitoring requests.
