For me what literally helps is playing G on the staff, then stopping the note, and try to listen to how it would sound. before i play the high G. Then I make sure my lips are relaxed and i'd go for it, keeping in mind the rest of my "tips". What also helps is telling yourself to "float" the note, making it sound effortless.
