Of course rim and tire choice can effect this. I can say from my experiences if you have mud flaps they will rub on 35" so 37" will for sure.My tuned 17 F350 on 37s only got 1-2 mpg better than my current 7.3 on 305/70s. Once I no longer had a need for the diesel I decided to order the 7.3, as it met all of my needs and the mileage was only slightly worse. My only complaint with my 7.3 is the fuel range. I came from a 48 gal tank on my long bed getting 15-16 mpg to a 34 gallon tank ...Rims have an offset-12. Stock 3.73 gears been lifted for years. 19 mpg with the 37's empty and light foot. 14 mpg doing urban Baja style driving. Key note 40's makes jumping curbs feel like you ran over a baby penguin. My recommendation for running anything bigger than a 33" tire is to add hydro assisted steering.

The 6.2 with 3.73s will be a dog, I'm willing to bet even with 4.30s. Yes, you'll need to move up to about a 4.30 gear to have the same drivability. I have a 2017 F250 6.2L 3.73 with the 275/70r18 tires. Those tires are basically 33's and it does just fine, but you would definitely want a steeper gear with 37's.

Lots of others have put 35x12.50s stock height on these 17s with no issues at all. The issue may be in the rear duals if you went with a wide tire such as a 12.50" width.
