BACKGROUND: The East Gallatin Landfill, located north of Griffin Drive in Bozeman, is an inactive, approximately 30-acre municipal landfill which operated from 1962 to 1970. The City now leases the site to Montana Department of Fish, Wildlife & Parks as part of the East Gallatin Recreation Area (commonly known as Glen Lake).
