At one time I thought Kimber was the top of the food chain, I really did have pride of ownership with them!Problem chambering in Kimber Eclipse 10mm. Kimbers are tight and a little bulge inside the chamber caused by the "10mm" stamp on the outside has resulted in most all of my reloads and frequent factory loads failing to chamber completely. Playing with the 10mm is facinating. Accuracy in Kimber 5'' is great. Looking at BY THE INCH we can gain +100 fps with some ammo. That is worth persuing for hunting and/or long range shooting. The longer sight radius can make it easier to shoot more accurately. The 10mm is very manageable in a 1911.
