It's true though, if you pass the class with at least a C you can't retake it to bump your GPA. School policy. Keeps the enrollment open for people that need the class. Credit/no credit doesn’t affect your GPA. Some graduate schools don’t like seeing “credit” rather than a grade, however, most are actually pretty understanding. It depends on the school. If you have a 4.0 and 4 B’s this semester, it might be good to opt for credit/no credit for one or two classes just to reduce the damage to your GPA.
