I recently purchased a Honda Pioneer 1000 and I just can’t seem to understand how this transmission works. I have followed the dealer’s advice exactly but I can’t get the DCT to shift from 2×4 to 4×4 differential lock unless I am almost stopped. Adjust the cable so that it thinks you are pulling on the lever. There are two adjustment points. You might need to use both of them to get the cable tight enough to not need the lever.

Hello, We bought 2 new Rubicon 520 - DCT-IRS-EPS - and they both developed shifting issues around the 400 mile mark. The shifting was very hard and and I was also very concerned about screwing up the gears, until I found out there was a service bulletin out since March 2021.

It's not hard to do. Just remove the axle first. Remove the tires and hubs, remove the large axle nuts, unbolt and remove the rear brakes and brake panel (4 nuts), and knock the axle out the right side. Next, just unbolt the center axle tube from the diff (4 bolts). Now, unbolt the diff from the swingarm (4 nuts).
