How to clear service def system message duramax.
DPF/DEF Delete. Wanting to delete the DPF/DEF system on a 2012 Duramax LML. I only want to delete it to get rid of the need for DEF and all of the issues that come along with it. I don't want to roll coal or anything like that. Really would like to keep the CAT to get rid of the smell/noise that comes along with the delete.
They have companies that will clean the dpf and CAN for under 800.00. Search for DPF cleaning and ask if they do personal pickups. Found one in Cincinnati, Ohio for 450.00 i take off theyll pickup ( I'm close enough within 1.5 hrs no charge) clean and return within 48hrs usually. And depending on how much DEF you have in the tank at that moment, the crystal might dissolve and clear the code.
