The digital owners manual says to use G 13 (TL-VW 774 J) coolant and that the coolant additive is pink. (I'm color blind and cant' tell the color of the coolant in the reservoir.) The available coolant additives such as Peak say that pink is for 1996-2008 VWs and that Violet is for 2008 and up VWs. So I don't know which to use.
