It may actually be related to the player's name. We've seen some cases where the name is triggering some kind of filter, so it doesn't allow that player to be used. It's something we've sent up to the Madden team for investigation, but I'm afraid I don't have any updates to share at the moment. I'd recommend checking out this thread for more ...
QUESTION. I signed to the Steelers in face of the franchise mode in madden 23. During the season I signed the 2 year extension but once I started my second year, I’m on the Raiders all of a sudden. What this glitch pertains to is completing a ...Its a horrible glitch that I wish we can be refunded on this game. If you toss in a QB at kicker you're never going to be able to kick a FG. The only player you can have in the kicker position is a kicker. I've seen some random cases where a punter is in the kicker position which causes some kicking trouble.
Even my abilities show as QB as I can only equip bazooka, run n gun, or truzz. I am hoping it fixes itself or EA can fix it for me as I won defensive player of the year as a CB a and broke the record for most interceptions in a season. As you can see in the photos the game shows I am a CB with the x factor of bazooka.

I'm about 3/4ths through my first season as a HB in Face of the Franchise. I went to play today and I noticed my player score and skills had been reset back to Level 1 and all of my upgrades were ...
