The villagers will not work well without enough food. This will hinder your hunter and innkeeper from producing. Take a couple overnights and roast all your meat in the tavern. That should keep your townspeople fed for the rest of the season while you stock up.Food Storage II should be available sooner or maybe boost farming tech points. If you manually do a 10x10 field you get around 100 farming points each season.
