My ilvl is 692 but every group is looking for 700+. I'm not a bad player, and my DPS is pretty good (all things considered - I've done mythics before with people ilvl 715+ and generally kept up/been close if not beating).

Group of 5 friends recently started completing normal and heroic shadowland dungeons , just wondering what ilvl recommended to push to mythic. We’re around the 160+ atm from buying the level 60 blues on ah. I'd say high 160s for a mythic 0 especially if you're all on comms and have a sense of the mechanics for fights.

Ilvl is one thing, but you also have legendaries, trinkets and set bonuses which also make a big difference regardless of ilvl. Covenant also matters a lot for some classes/specs, and then you also throw into this player skill/experience. All of the dungeons are 90% about knowledge/experience, nearly every mob has some mechanic you need to know ...

With a higher max ilvl, it makes everyone closer to a level playing field and makes things feel fresh while extending the gearing process. Just a reminder that this season, it was only 17s and higher granted updates over 426 or whatever it was, now even 10s are worth doing sort of for an ilvl upgrade, even if you got to farm it later from 17s ...Ilvl doesn't really matter, it is 100% skill based. Ilvl 385 can easily do +15s if you know exactly how to play your class to it's full extent (cc, interrupts, slows, burst Windows, etc), or struggle to do +5 if you don't know.
