So what happens is your fingers are more sensitive than many know..Lighter is only better if you have a physical condition, like back or shoulder issues and just can't handle the extra weight, imho. Personally, weight isn't even something I consider when looking for a guitar. If it's 5 lbs or 11 lbs, I don't care, as long as it sounds and plays good.

The DGT has a whammy, the 594 doesn’t, so that may influence your decision. The 594 seems like the closest PRS has gotten to a vintage Gibson while the DGT is really its own thing.
