I didn't make much as a food runner. Working 3-4 days a week I made about $400-$600 on my biweekly paycheck. Of course the amount you get paid will vary with mine. I worked in a upscale ish restaurant. I think food running is a growth step until you gain more confidence to serve. Yeah, that’s more than fair.

On top you get NO BREAKS; although you can get free food if you ask for it between the hours of 8a-9a and 1p-2p Monday to Friday. Saturday is tough and Sundays you don't get food. Depends on what you prioritize. If it's income, I think a couple contenders for servers are higher end fine dining, or busy sports bars, though there are outliers, and income can vary significantly even within those.
