You have to consider that the scopes don't actually magnify in game. Nor does tarkov just zoom your whole camera. It uses a render texture shader on the scope, which requires a second camera which means you're now rendering part of the scene twice in the best optimization case, or the entire camera frustum twice, in a less optimized case.
