Spec war because being able to remove the barrel without first taking off all mlok attachments is a really nice feature they should have done in the first place. Also the specwar is really well gassed vs the MRPs which can be alittle over gassed q.
The piston is nice because it has a suppressed setting, but other than that, 5.56 recoil is really mild, even in an "overgassed" rifle. Both my 12.5” specwar and 12” shovelnose run great. Just use hot ammo hold ur breath. Piston feels the same for all ammo and the DI varies between loads. I didn't see one as being better than the other in the accuracy department. The gen1 piston barrels cycled cheap, low pressure stuff better than the gen2 in my experience. The gen2 struggles to be gassed enough to run reliably suppressed with a Rugged Razor 7.62. It is a single shot unsuppressed.
LMT spec war upper, $700: Item has never been shot so is in almost like new condition, has a few minor marks near one of the screws due to a sling rubbing on the rail but it otherwise like new. Share
