The drop rate doesnt seem to be affected by the number of deaths in the attempt. That said being careful usually gets you through easier and with more insurance than assuming you'll win and playing recklessly. If you ever want to try a flawless solo dungeon then you can use the lost sectors as practice or a step ladder for that achievement.

Legend is 25% drop rate and master what almost all long hundreds of runs record end up close to 33% up and below.
