Today we see a continuation in declines, with the Comex price flirting with $1,620. All this implies that the downward trend that started in March this year (see the chart below) will remain untouched.

The quarterly chart tells us that gold and silver mining stocks index tend to decline almost 0.5% in the middle of the month compared to April’s starting price. However, the yearly chart tells us that the mid-April price is likely to be about 4% higher than at the beginning of the year.
