Sep 17, 2018 · Not a single issue until 4/04/2021. 7812 miles, had been driven 150 that day, 20 miles from home, check engine light, derate & shut-down in seconds. Lotsa white smoke. Dealer replaced fuel pump, still no start, no fuel pressure, lift pump working perfectly. Maybe $77,000 isn't enough to get one to 10,000 miles. I have a 2017 L5P 2500 that won't start (I know) because the lift pump isnt turning on. I"m not sure what relay 1 or 2 is for the lift pump but all fuses seem to be fine and I have bench tested relay 1 and it seems to be fine. I'm gonna add also that the fuel gauge isn't working either. The transmission will shift normally up to the gear you have selected in Manual. In other words, if in M5 it will shift normally up to 5th gear and not go into 6th. They tell us to never use 6th while towing heavy. Keep the RPMs between 1800 and 2400 and it will stay the coolest, with around 2200 being the best.

Your Allison came with Dex-IV in it from GM, Dex-IV is a synthetic and a very good fluid. Doing a double drain is a waste of money personally. Change it to your fluid of choice and change it again 25k later. If you're going to deviate from Dex-IV pick and TES 668 fluid and sleep happy.
