Tbh I feel like she worded it that way specifically because it adds a light/joking tone. At the end of the day, this was a sentence about her choosing to Snapchat her great-niece using an avatar in its underwear, which seems inappropriate at worst; or at best like a brilliant way to get your great-niece to leave you alone forever and make a whole new Snapchat to avoid you.
