Immortal X-men, X-men Red and Legion of X are the real standouts of the current line. This is definitely a good marvel line to start imo, there have been so many books coming out since 2019. The practical effects for Magneto's powers looked really nice and added to the realism. It just mixes that group of students with the New(-er) Mutants (the one with Surge, Prodigy, etc.), it's not "essential" but it's pretty similar in spirit to the (not so) New Mutants (the one with Dani Moonstar, Warlock, etc.) and Generation X (the Lobdell one) so it's worth reading, I think.
